Story
The summer sea, fireworks, a boy ... and a mystery that must not be solved. FUKUYAMA Masaharu returns as Yukawa, the brilliant physicist and Detective Galileo.
Midsummer's Equation is the second film in the Galileo series, based on a novel by celebrated mystery novelist HIGASHINO Keigo, with FUKUYAMA Masaharu returning as Yukawa, the brilliant physicist. Yukawa has traveled to the coastal resort of Harigaura to discuss plans for mining the untouched nearby seabed and stays at a local family-owned inn struggling to stay open with only a few guests. When the body of man washes ashore one morning all is not what it seems. A series of chance encounters and mysterious guests draw Yukawa deeper into a mystery of complicated connections all leading to a heartbreaking truth that must not be solved.
